Upcoming Shows

The Visitors

In May 2026, we will be performing “The Visitors”, written especially for ITCE by Esther Oโ€™Toole. The play centers around the question what “home” actually means. Who do you decide to be when business and personal values โ€‹โ€‹collide? On a tropical island, Ben and Hannah More are expecting some well-deserved rest after a whirlwind third quarter for their startup. Along with Ben’s little sister Cassie, and their best friend and co-founder, Nevaan, they want to enjoy this luxurious “home-away-from-home” as they try to leave work behind for a few weeks. But when disturbing news about their company reaches their paradise, they quickly find themselves at the center of an ethical storm.

Past Shows

Mountain Language / One For The Road (2025)

Standing in a hallway waiting all together and not knowing if you can visit your family in prison. Or: having to watch from behind a fence as a man, his wife and their child are interrogated by someone from the regime. In October 2025 ITCE turned Pinters’ one-act plays into immersive performances in an abandoned industrial building.

Festen (2024)

Festen is a gripping play that explores family dynamics and hidden truths during a patriarch’s 60th birthday celebration. As long-buried secrets emerge, the facade of a perfect family crumbles, inviting the audience to reflect on the impact of silence and the courage to confront the past.

The New Continent (2022)

In 2035, investors in ‘The Greenland Project’ buy shares for land in Greenland, but their journey takes a dangerous turn when their cargo ship collides with the quay and breaks down in a storm, trapping them in the hold. As uncertainty grows, the group, including married couple Alice and Gus, reacts differently: Gus spirals into conspiracy theories while Alice seeks solitude to process their dire situation.

(De)Humanize (2019)

Explore the timeless quest for immortality, from Gilgamesh to modern science. As we strive to eliminate weaknesses and enhance our capabilities, we find ourselves in a world brimming with possibilities. Yet, in the face of such advancements, many feel paralyzed by choice. Will we soon face a future where the freedom to choose fades away?

Outsiders (2018)

A group of people locked up behind fences. Against their will. They are waiting. When the opportunity arises to leave, the question arises whether they can go back to what and who they left behind. Whether they want to go back, now that they have each other. And then, suddenly, there is that new person, a strangerโ€ฆ.

What do we want to remember? What do we want to forget? Which stories need to be told and which ones are best kept to ourselves? Freedom is almost tangible when youโ€™re longing for it. But when you are free: does it evaporates into a matter of course?
